The winning bet is whichever pocket the ball lands in on the wheel. You can pick up the game after playing just a few spins but we will dig a bit deeper into the rules.
The standard roulette wheel consists of 36 pockets that are numbered from 1 to 36 they are in alternate colors of red and black. There is also a 0 [zero] pocket that is green in color.
On the roulette table is a layout with all the different bets you can place, playing online you will just click on your virtual chips and place them on the area of the betting of your choice.
There are two types of roulette bets you can make playing for real money.
The first is inside bets, these are when you bet on an individual number or a sequence of numbers. When you bet on a single number the odds are 35:1, other inside bets that you can place vary from 2 number bets that payout at 17:1 to 6 number bets that payout at 5:1. You can bet on as many different areas of the layout as you like.
The outside bets are preferred by most roulette enthusiasts as they pay out more often. These are more general bets such as red or black, odd or even, 1-12, 13-24, and 25-36 that payout at 1:1. There are also low and high which payout at 2:1 these are for the lows 1-18 and the high numbers 19-36.
So there you go as simple as 1-2-3, place your bet or bets, push the spin button and wait with bated breath to see if the ball lands in the pocket or pockets you have wagered on.
